I spoke to a company that sold mini splits. They said there is a way to program the the temperature difference up to 5 degrees on a 18000 hyper heat so it doesn't ramp up as quick. Does anyone know how? I looked at my link drive and didn't find it. I was told it was on that site

I don't know, but there may be a market for an add-on mini-split thermostat that is highly programmable. Would probably have to interface to the existing mini-split thermostat via infra-red or RF.
For example, what if one wants to use a mini-split for heating when it's mild outside and an existing NG furnace when it's really cold (such a plan could optimize $/BTU).

I called another company that sells/tech support and asked about it and I was told there isn't a setting on the unit. I'll prob have to get the thermostat. Does anyone know the minimum heat temperature that the unit blows out? 108 seems to hot for the minimum 7500 btus it puts out.

Just decided to get the mk1 thermostat. The unit is short cycling again. At least this thermostat can be away from the unit where the temperature doesn't fluctuate to much like near the ceiling.
Deadband question. If the unit has a 4 degree deadband and set at 70, will the unit ramp Down or continue to 72 and ramp down before it hits 73?
