I've been trying to find some proven flat roof framing design methods that would be suited for a hot humid climate. What makes this a bit challenging is the roof would have a 3' to 4' cantilever levered overhang around the entire perimeter of the home.

  1. 3' to 5' cantilever levered Overhang around entire perimeter
  2. Thickness of roof profile somewhere between 2' to 3'
  3. Roof to be super Insulated
  4. EIFS system for exterior cladding
  5. Durable and low maintenance

My idea is to use Open web wood floor joist for the flat roof framing ..... but what is the typical standard frame details at the corners of cantilever levered corners?

Some web links to pics and videos would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know, but perhaps build it like a hip roof (but with zero slope).

I think you'll have better luck Ricky if you search using the correct terminology. Do a search for cantilever framing details.

3' to 4' cantilever levered overhang around the entire perimeter of the home.
It's an issue. Make sure you have construction details of the corners and alternate sides from the architect or designer or you run the risk of the carpenters trying to do something woefully inadequate. And they will try.
