I am looking for a better technology for my current hot water heating system.
The system uses a gas fired hot water boiler set around 145F (has been for at least 20 years) with cast iron radiators.
This gives very even heat
The issue is with the current Honeywell programmable setback thermostat. It cannot correct for outside temperature when there is a call for heat. Hence I have to correct the setpoint manually(1 degree up  below 32F 1or2 degrees up over 45F or sometimes downa degree depending on the sunshine heat pouring in - Buffalo NY not often). Seems to me HVAC should have this resolved by now but my searches have lead me nowhere.
I am familiar with industrial PID controllers where i can modify a setpoint (or ramp) based on a second input.
Is there such a system for home heating?
Thanks you guys for being there!

Three way outdoor reset by Taco or more sophisticated outdoor reset with injection pump by Tekmar.

Or... you could turn in your cast iron boat anchor in for a ModCon high efficiency boiler with built-in ODR, which is the perfect match for CI radiators supplying perfect comfort and optimum fuel saving at once.

Typical fuel savings of 40%, federal tax credit $1500.00.
